Seed to Feed - Teen Growers Internship

In 2019 Seed to Feed launched the Teen Growers internship, using gardening to educate youth about nutrition and to teach valuable job skills while helping Seed to Feed produce fresh fruits and veggies for food pantry guests. This twelve-week paid internship offers education, mentorship, and a meaningful paid job, not to mention structure and a safe outdoor way to socialize, for 8-10 teens (ages 15-18) living in Elkhart. Teens work in the greenhouse and garden onsite at Church Community Services in Elkhart.
